City
Insurance Offices Limited was
established in Sarnia by Thomas Cook in 1892 under the name, Thomas
Cook T/A City Insurance Offices. As a local entrepreneur, Mr. Cook
also operated a private bank/safety deposit facility, as well as a
travel agency and telegraph service.
By the early 1920s, Homer Lockhart and Frank "Red" Cowan had
joined the firm, and Mr. Cook had given up his other business
interests to concentrate solely on insurance. The company passed a
number of significant
milestones during its long and prosperous
history.
Today,
City
Insurance has a staff of 18 highly
skilled and knowledgeable professionals. We represent some of the
strongest financial services companies in Canada. Through our
association with ING, we can help our customers achieve their own
